Orlando began as a
small citrus community, much like the rest of Florida. When the
railroad began to be built throughout Florida, changes began to
occur. Dr. Phillips was one of the areas largest citrus producers
and in the 1950's and 60's he began to use his land for developing
residential homes and commercial buildings. |
Soon after Dr. Phillips began his development, Disney arrived and
the pace of growth really began to swell. Then Seaworld, Universal
Studios, the Orange County Convention Center began to be built and
the tourists began flocking here from around the world. These
catalysts really began the growth of the Greater Orlando area. |

Throughout Central Florida, the population has grown tremendously
and is known as one of the most rapidly growing regions in the
United States. The growth in the area continues to build everyday
and with no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Orlando is known throughout the world for vacations and
conventions. The Orange County Convention Center is one of the
main reasons for that image along with Disneyworld, Universal
Studios, Seaworld and many other vacation attractions.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER
NASA's famous launch headquarters is
just 45 minutes east of Orlando. Every year, millions of visitors
make the trek to this island home of space program technology and
unique Florida wildlife. Kennedy Space Center offers the chance of
a lifetime to explore and even train on the very grounds where
NASA sends humans, rovers and probes into space.

you will encounter towering launch pads, huge rockets, interactive
exhibits and inspiring space program experiences.
Kennedy
Space Center offers exciting ways to see the NASA
facilities. For an introduction, embark upon the Kennedy
Space Center Tour, running throughout the day and
included with admission.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is open every day
except December 25 and certain launch days. Park opens
at 9 a.m. and closes at dusk. |

simple purchases.

your Hotel:

your hotel for specific directions when you are driving and
for the most direct route to your destination.

not answer the door in a hotel or motel room without verifying
who is outside.

to see that any sliding glass doors or windowns and any
